Arriving in the Future. Stories of Home and Exile ist ein englischsprachiges Literaturprojekt; Poesie, Kurzgeschichten und Essays von schwarzen AutorInnen und PerformerInnen, die Deutschland als Lebensmittelpu…nkt betrachten. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf der Performance. Im Vorfeld der Veröffentlichung werden die AutorInnen, begleitet von Bild, Klang und Bewegung, das Wort auf der Bühne ergreifen, um ihren Stimmen Gehör zu verschaffen. Diese Veranstaltung ist Lesung, Spoken Word Performance und Konzert zugleich.

Die Veranstaltung findet in deutscher und englischer Sprache statt.

Eine Veranstaltung von Philipp Khabo Koepsell und Asoka Esuruoso in Kooperation mit Kultursprünge e.V. im Ballhaus Naunynstraße und Edition Assemblage.

An Evening of Poetry, Music,and Reading

With the author and professor Grada Kilomba, the dancer Todd Ford, the music of Three Women & The Bass (Gonza Ngoumou, Bona Ngoumou, JeanNine Mayani; and Giuseppe Bottiglieri), and the Spoken Word performances of MaSeHo, Philipp Khabo Koepsell.

Arriving in the Future. Stories of Home and Exile is an English literature and performance project, featuring poetry, short stories and essays written by black writers and performers who regard Germany as a home, a resting place, and space of exile. A special focus is placed upon performances which allow for black German authors, artists, and musicians, accompanied by image, sound and movement, to speak on stage and let their voices be heard. This up-coming event will be held in English and will include reading, spoken word performances and concerts.
